Taste of Country Website

Now that the “Taste of Country” website is up and running, I thought I would take the opportunity to share it with you (since Robertson County is one of the sponsors).
For those of you who may not remember, and do not know just what I am talking about…..here is a description from the “About” page:

Taste of Country USA is your chance to experience real country food, fun and music.
There will be activities for everyone in the family, including a Pancake Breakfast, a Corn Hole Tournament, and a fantastic Kids Country. In addition, there’ll be a fun Motorcycle Poker Run, a cool Corvette Rally, and lots of hot classics at our Antique Car Drive In.
You’ll be able to hunt for treasures in the Historic District Yard Sale and see our local green thumbs at the Master Gardeners’ Plant Sale and Garden Tour. They’ll be all kinds of fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and dairy at our local Farmers Market.
Plus, if you like Traditional Country music, this is the place to see our amazing local talent. There’ll be exciting, live Country, Blue Grass and Gospel music throughout the day on our big, Court House Stage.
Of course, what would a Taste of Country USA be without lots of good, old fashioned, country cooking. So, we’re pulling out the stops to showcase Robertson County’s great eating places and wonderful home cooks. They’ll all be serving up their mouth watering specialties and tasty treats with a plenty of small town Southern charm.
Kids Country is the place to be for live Nashville Zoo animals, pony rides, inflatable fun, balloons, face painting, and a whole lot more!
Amazing local artisans and crafts people will be showcasing their wares, along with displays of our unique local agricultural heritage will round out the day.
As I have stated before, I am fully behind this effort. I do not want to make this “political,” but I do think it is great for the County. Each community will have a chance to show who they are, and what they are about. I consider this an event that will allow us to showcase to Nashville, Middle Tennessee and beyond… just who we are…
Definitely mark your calendar for Saturday, June 11th. And give the Robertson County Chamber of Commerce and let them know how you want to help! I look forward to seeing you there!
